I am a self taught and highly motivated artist and seamstress who absolutely LOVES animals. My very favorites are rabbits and dogs. Currently, we ourselves own six horses, two bunnies, (both under a year old :) a doggy (dalmatian) and a fish. Animals are my life and passion, as well as crafting. I especially like to sew and I specialize in stuffed animals. I do sell my handmade creations online, so feel free to check it out! Since the day I was born, I have fallen in love with arts and crafts. For me, the world is my limit-and my inspiration. TheYummyCupcake was my very first shop and started with a simple dream, rather, a vision-to put a smile on someone's face. I'm generally a very happy and enthusiastic person with a very creative nature. It is my passion to craft-my very life and soul is poured into each and every plush creation I bring to life. I love feeling happy and I love it when others are happy as well! Especially when it's because of something that you craft with your own two hands. It doesn't have to be beautiful, or soft, or fancy, or cost a lot. The feeling is almost magical! I have been selling since 2008, when I crafted my very first plush toy, ironically a chocolate chip cookie. I love making people smile with my 100% handmade creations and I felt I had to share my joy and love of arts and crafts with the world. I started out small-scale, at first only doing local business, selling my handmade plush through an artisan store, where everything was local and handmade. Business was slow, but when it was, it sure did mean a lot. It had a more personal touch-people could actually go in and see my plush in store for real-not just look at some picture over the internet. Let me tell you, pictures just don't do my products any justice-they are SOOOO much cuter (and softer!) in person. Unfortunately, due to some financial trouble our good ol' little town had found themselves in, many stores, that being one of them, went out of business; about a year and a half after I started selling there. By then,I realized I was really onto something here. Whenever I had stepped foot in that store, at least one of my plush has sold. It was then I decided to go bigger- the internet. Having had no idea what I was even doing at the time, I set up my very first small, simple online shop with Etsy, and titled it TheYummyCupcake. The name itself holds some significance to me-I have a sweets/food obsession, so a lot of the items/plush I sew revolved around some type of food or dessert. And I don't know about you, but I can't (well, maybe I could) think of any treat more mouth-watering and yummy, then cake batter. But I needed something cutesy-cupcakes. Cupcakes are adorable, totally customizable (so many possibilities!!) and just plain yummy. And, from that was also born a little "side" company of mine-GummyBearGoodies. So, I also have a passion for creating miniature/real-life size faux foods/treats. Since then, I have attended numorous community events, such as fairs, craft fairs, art shows, and even yard sales! I have also opened and created many more stores and websites, including but not limited to; Etsy, eBay, Webstore, eCRATER, Craigslist, Wix, Weebly, Webs ETC. I strive for 100% positive feedback and take great pride in our 100% positive feedback ratings.
